Over the Moon Enrichment Center and The Academy at OTM provide an enriched learning environment that has helped countless students learn, develop and grow. Our innovative curriculum and teaching methods help students take the next step in their education and approach the future with confidence. Since our inception, we have used Responsive Classroom as a basis for how we manage our school, classrooms and staff. Our curriculum is created by OTM EDventures, Inc. and our Curriculum Advisory Board. It is comprised of experience based lessons implemented through developmentally appropriate practices. Our schools utilize a continuum of learning that has provided us with the privilege of guiding bright and curious minds since 2012.

About Our Founder
Suzanne M. Russell
Mrs. Russell is a dynamic entrepreneur and visionary leader who founded Over the Moon in 2012. With the support of her local community, Suzanne took her dream of creating a nurturing, innovative learning environment where children could truly flourish, and opened Over the Moon. What began as a small half-day preschool quickly evolved under her leadership into a full-day, independent private school serving preschool through elementary students — known for its forward-thinking curriculum, strong community values, and focus on whole-child development. One school quickly became two, and Suzanne expanded the OTM brand during the height of the covid pandemic. Creating new programs and opportunities for children to learn in the least restrictive environment, Over the Moon became the gold standard in private school education for young learners.

Since the school’s inception, Mrs. Russell has served as Head of Schools where her leadership, creativity, and unwavering commitment to excellence shaped every aspect of the school’s success. In June of 2025, Mrs. Russell sold Over the Moon to Frank Nutt III & Valarie Petersen, owners of several local schools and day cares.
Today, Suzanne uses her career knowledge and expertise to create successes for other educators and schools. With a passion for growth and innovation, Mrs. Russell has founded a coaching and consulting firm, OTM EDventures, LLC, to support and consult for educators, entrepreneurs, public and private schools in creating transformative learning environments.
Our Team.
Our leadership team has over 50+ years of combined experience in education. We strive to meet the needs of families and students who desire an alternative learning environment than those typically seen in a public-school classroom. We are continually learning and growing to better meet the needs of our communities and its children.
